Dr. Rachel McInnes has blogged on the topic 'What is causing my hayfever?'. A related paper, co-authored with a number of additional PollerGEN team members has been published in the 2017 Science of the Total Environment publicatication.

The paper 'Mapping Allergenic Pollen in UK to Study environmnetal exposure and human health' has been published ‘open access’ and so can be downloaded for free here.

The manuscript, co-authored with a number of additional PollerGEN team members brings us a step closer to accurately creating high resolution vegetation maps that will be really important for understanding the aerial transit of different species of grass pollen. Linked with accurate incidence data derived from molecular genetic analysis and aerobiological modelling (http://pollergen.bangor.ac.uk/methods.php.en), we will begin to understand more about the aerial release and transit of pollen in relation to human health.
